Offering the best of the north coast without the crowds, Autism Camp Tweed/Byron Hinterland is based in the glorious foothills of Wollumbin - the extinct remains of an ancient volcano which shaped the whole region. Just moments from the lush sub-tropical rainforests of he UNESCO World Heritage-listed Wollumbin National Park, less than an hour from the relaxed beach vibe of Byron Bay and glitz of the Gold Coast, our new Tweed/Byron Hinterland location is a throwback to the old days on NSW’s Far North Coast, with its rich natural history and lush surrounds.

Just one hour south of the Gold Coast Airport, Autism Camp Tweed/Byron Hinterland takes place at Midginbil Eco Resort, 400 acres of prime volcanic farmland with creeks, rainforest, bountiful vista’s and a lily dam. Just fifteen minutes from the quant historic village of Uki it is an ideal launchpad for outdoor adventures in the region.

We have exclusive use of the whole property.

Nine family rooms, the brekky and dinner dining room and adult workshop space are located to the north east of the property. ACA HQ, a lunchtime dining room, our proprioceptic/sensory and workshop spaces are all located to the south west of the property.

As well as our Autism Camp Australia program, facilities at the resort include a tennis court, rainforest walks, volley ball, BBQ area and a landscaped swimming pool. From adventure challenges and water-based activities to bush outings and recreational fun, there’s plenty to do.

Our family rooms sleep up to six people in single, double and bunk beds (configurations vary). All have their own bathroom, verandah and access to laundry facilities. Bed linen, pillows and one towel per person are provided.

There is a well-stocked supermarket in Uki, just 15 minutes by car from the site.
