Due to the high demand for our camps, a family cannot be allocated until an Enrolment Fee is paid and camp fee payment is confirmed. We don’t want to waste your time, or ours, so please confirm all funding before starting an enrolment process.

All camp locations are priced exactly the same. Packages, programs and access to facilities are developed to ensure equity across all sites. Some are catered, some are not. Styles of accommodation differ. This ensures choice and flexibility to the greatest number of families. Each site has its own unique characteristics but all follow the same structure of programming.

Enrolment Fee

You will be asked for an Enrolment Fee of $550 to secure your families spot at Autism Camp Australia. This is a contribution towards costs incurred by the charity during our comprehensive enrolment process. This Enrolment Fee is an out-of-pocket cost and cannot be billed to the NDIS. This Enrolment Fee is fully refundable until you sign your Camp Agreement OR commence your Camp Interview. It will become non-refundable once either of those steps are completed. We offer a payment plan if a one-off payment is not possible.

NDIS

For NDIS payments, there are several support category options. Please go to the NDIS page for details. You’ll also find info on Goals, Outcomes, a useful Case Study and Evaluation there.

Carer organisations

As a carer you may be eligible for a Tailored Support Package offered though Carer Gateway, which may offset some of the costs associated with attendance. If your child has limited funds in their NDIS plan this can be a good option to consider. Carer Gateway Tailored Support Packages can be used for a range of supports to help you in your caring role including planned respite to take a break at Autism Camp Australia. To speak to your local Carer Gateway service provider about services and supports available, call 1800 422 737 and select Option 1. The Carer Gateway website (www.carergateway.gov.au) has useful information and resources and a ‘call back’ form to submit to your local Carer Gateway service provider who will then contact you at a date and time convenient for you. Wellways is the Carer Gateway service provider across Queensland and the New South Wales regions of South West Sydney, the Nepean and Blue Mountains. If you are in these regions, please talk to ACA’s Enrolment Manager for support with this. If you live in regional Queensland you could also try BUSHKids. If these organisations are unable to fund a larger amount they will often help with the deposit.

Enrolment Stages

PLEASE CONFIRM ALL FUNDING BEFORE STARTING AN ENROLMENT PROCESS.

The process for application to attend a camp is as follows:

Stage 1 > Complete a Camp Family Enrolment, provide proof of diagnosis/diagnoses, and select your top three preferred camp dates/locations.
Stage 2 > At this stage, we begin the process of collecting all of the information needed to confirm eligibility and funding options, and ask you to pay a $550 Enrolment Fee. This fee contributes to costs incurred by the charity during that process and is an out-of-pocket cost that cannot be billed to the NDIS. We offer a payment plan if a one-off payment is not possible. This fee is refundable until your Service Agreement is signed off in the next stage.
Stage 3 > We work with you to confirm your funding options so an invoice and Service Agreement can be issued and signed off. This confirms your family’s place in the camp!
Stage 4 > We will arrange a time to conduct an over-the-phone enrolment interview with the primary carer for your family.
Stage 5 > ACA completes the pre-camp Enrolment Process by collating the information provided by you and preparing it for our Camp Teams.

Camp places are allocated on a first in, best dressed basis taking into account resourcing and safety considerations. The Enrolment Fee is refundable until you sign your Service Agreement OR commence your enrolment interview at which time it becomes non-refundable. All other fees listed in the Service Agreement are refundable until 10 clear business days before camp. In the event that ACA has to postpone your camp due to Covid-19 restrictions (or bushfire or some other matter beyond our control as noted in the Service Agreement), your family will be offered alternative camp dates.

In the event that a family wishes to postpone or book alternative camp dates after a Service Agreement has been signed, a $200 administrative fee will be charged. In the event that a family has to postpone or cancel, ten clear business days’ written notice will be required. All fees associated with postponements/cancellations made within 10 clear business days of the camp are non-refundable. Our cancellation terms are balanced to share the risk between our charity and families. We support this by running a standby list so usually there are families who can step in on late notice. We will always endeavour to fill late cancellation spots from our standby list but we cannot guarantee this.

Please ensure you have read through the Eligibility page, and confirm all funding before starting your Camp Family Enrolment process.
