Kylie Ovenden
Chair

Kylie is an experienced Business Leader with a demonstrated history of working in the Banking and Finance, Government, Health and Innovation sectors. She is a strong professional, having worked across Australia and the U.K., with a Master of Business Administration (MBA) focused in International Business, Trade, Leadership and Marketing from RMIT University. Kylie has two beautiful girls, one of whom is Autistic. Her experience and understanding of Autism comes from her own neurodivergence, and from supporting and advocating for her neurodivergent family.


Jakob Gray
Vice Chair/Treasurer

Jakob is an Autistic executive who has worked in senior finance positions in some of Australia's largest companies; including NAB, BHP, the NSW Government and Great Southern Bank. With 12 years of experience across financial business partnering, technology, projects and strategy, Jakob has leveraged his passion for numbers and technology and has remained a constant learner picking up skills in cyber security, automation and AI. Jakob holds a Masters in Business Administration majoring in Accounting & Finance, a Masters of Commerce in Leadership, a Graduate Certificate in Cyber Security and is currently studying towards his masters in Autism Studies. In addition to being Autistic, Jakob is married to his ADHD partner and is the parent of three Autistic ADHD girls. From his own lived experience is now looking to build a stronger Autism community in which all Autistic individuals are given opportunities to thrive.


Ursula Stevens

Ursula is an Associate at Leach Legal Family Lawyers with a special interest in assisting families with autistic member(s) navigate family law disputes. While working at the Family Court, Ursula saw how lack of knowledge within the legal profession about autism negatively impacted families. This experience drove Ursula to educate herself about autism to ensure she could effectively support families in this position. Ursula is studying a Graduate Diploma in Autism Studies and intends to follow this with a Masters in Autism Studies. She is a regular presenter at the Autism West Symposium on family law disputes and care arrangements for autistic children. She is passionate about educating others about Autism and advocating for Autistic individuals.


Sandhya Menon

Sandhya is an Autistic/ADHDer Developmental Psychologist. She is passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals to thrive and creating a better, more inclusive society. To this end, she has written two children's books, The Brain Forest and The Rainbow Brain, that help spark conversations about neurodiversity in an affirming fashion. Sandhya also pursues her goal through speaking engagements at schools and conferences, as well as workshops for parents and clinicians across different topics regarding Autism and ADHD. Sandhya has worked in the Autism field for over 14 years, ranging from inclusion support, hospital assessment teams, in home therapy, support work, school psychology before where she is today in private practice, running Onwards and Upwards Psychology.


Hailey Rivera

Hailey is a senior property and project developer with a background in economic consulting and international business. Over the past decade, she has gained significant experience in property economics and project management, from tender and contract negotiation to final delivery in significant <$100 million projects both domestically and internationally. Hailey has a broad knowledge/skills in business, marketing, strategic planning, financial monitoring, programming, and risk management. Her strong support for and continued affiliation with the Autistic Community are rooted in each of her immediate family members have either received a formal diagnosis or have self-diagnosed Autistic and/or ADHD. As she deepens her understanding of Autism, Hailey has recognised and is exploring her own neurodivergence.


Rachel Rowe
Founder/ Executive Director, Global Business Development

Rachel is a proud Autistic/ADHDer. She is a highly motivated social impact entrepeneur, neurodiversity advocate and creative leader with a proven track record over 25 years of innovative solutions in management, media and marketing. Rachel cut her teeth at The Prince’s Trust, and then Saatchi & Saatchi in London, UK. She spent ten years at the helm of eco-trailblazer Bird Textile growing a grass roots operation into an internationally renowned business. She was the founder of arts management consultancy wordonthebird, and Business Manager of charity Desert Pea Media Inc, working with young people in the Indigenous/Arts sector. Her entrepreneurial spirit and business development skills have created value and sustainability for the organisations she manages. Her work choices have always been about promoting diversity and fostering social change but she believes her most important role yet, is as an advocate for equality and inclusion for Autistic young people. She is passionate about driving life changing outcomes for Autistic people around mental health and wellbeing, employability, economic participation, education, and ultimately life expectancy. Rachel is a leader in the evolution of a balanced and respectful relationship between Autistic young people, their families and all Australians. She is mum to two beautiful daughters. One Autistic, one allistic. Rachel is the founder of Autism Camp Australia.
